Order On order of the Court, the application for leave to appeal to appeal is considered and, pursuant to MCR 7.302(F) (1), in lieu of granting leave to appeal, we REVERSE the judgments of the Court of Appeals and of the Recorder's Court for the City of Detroit, and we REMAND the matter for a new trial. On the evidence adduced at trial, the defendant's request for an instruction on voluntary manslaughter should have been granted and, in light of the jury's request for a definition of the crime of manslaughter, we cannot conclude that the error in failing to give this instruction was harmless. Boyle, J., would grant leave to appeal.
